Lots of folks are blaming “technology” for degradation of our education (public and private). But do they recognize that it is the antidemocratic and anti-intellectual values that govern technological development in this country. I argue, that technology, once put in the democratic and intellectually well-developed hands, will usher in a revolution that can–and will-have global implications–for the betterment of humanity of course.
Having said that I must beg the question, do intellectuals (public and private) have a moral obligation to embrace technology and develop the right Ethics for it in order to usher in a social revolution? I think we do!
